Michael C. Dionne, CPA
Mike Dionne, principal of Dionne & Strout, consults with individuals and businesses on tax, accounting and business growth matters. Mike specializes in helping small business owners set and develop strategies for achieving their short and long-term goals. To that end, he assists clients in developing and implementing business plans. He also helps them focus on their bottom line by providing hands-on assistance with budget development, forecasting and ongoing management. Mike provides proactive tax planning and preparation services to business and individuals with a focus on minimizing tax liabilities whenever possible.
Mike received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Plymouth State College. Prior to founding Dionne & Strout in 1993, he was an accountant at Santerre & Company in Nashua. Mike has served on a variety of charitable and community-based organizations. He is currently a board member and past president of the Souhegan Valley Boys & Girls Club where he serves on the strategic planning committee and the board development committee. He belongs to the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a past chair of their Annual Golf Tournament. Mike is also a member of the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Hampshire State Society of CPAs.
Terry W. Strout, CPA With thirty years of experience in public and private accounting and finance, Terry Strout, principal at Dionne & Strout, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients. In addition to providing income tax services to the general public, Terry focuses on helping small business in the areas of tax planning and preparation, asset valuation, systems design and auditing. He is experienced in litigated matters including court testimonies and valuations relative to negotiated divorce property settlements, sales/purchases of business interests and estate tax matters.
Prior to founding Dionne & Strout, he held various positions including senior staff at Price Waterhouse & Co., assistant to the chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and controller and chief financial officer. Terry is an honors graduate from Central Connecticut State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Hampshire State Society of CPAs.
Terry has served on a variety of community and not for profit boards, most notably that of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce. There, he served as board chairman for two years subsequent to serving as the treasurer. In addition, Terry has been a member and chair of the Board of Greater Nashua Council on Alcoholism. He is also a member of the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce.
Diane Bolton, CPA Diane provides both individual and business clients with accounting and tax preparation services. In the business arena, Diane assists companies in tax planning and the development of internal accounting procedures, systems and software to support long-term growth. Throughout the year, she works closely with each client to provide sound tax and accounting advisory services.
Diane originally joined Dionne & Strout in 1999 and returned in 2005 after a nine-month hiatus. During that time, she was Accounting Manager for RJ Moreau Companies in Bedford, N.H. where she designed the accounting procedures and systems for a new excavation division.
She was an accounting professor at Hesser College for more than ten years and has also taught accounting classes at NH Technical College in Nashua. Diane received her master's of business administration in computer science from Bentley College and her bachelor's in accounting from the University of Texas. Diane is a member of the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Carol Romeril, EA Carol provides small businesses and individuals with federal and multi-state tax planning and preparation services. She also provides accounting services to small businesses. Carol became an Enrolled Agent (EA) in 1998 and is licensed to practice in front of the IRS. Since 1982, she has been a member of the Association of Certified Accountants of the UK, where she received the designation ACCA - a title in the UK that is of equal value to a CPA.
Prior to joining Dionne & Strout in 2000, Carol was a financial accounting manager for Digital Equipment Corporation in the UK and the US for ten years and was also a tax preparer for H&R Block for eight years. She received her master's of business administration from Rivier College in Nashua and her undergraduate studies were at Dundee College of Technology in Scotland.
